With a lead grant of $3 million from the foundation, the Kinder Program Services Building opened in 2002, replacing the original cottages. Today this building serves as the main location for DePelchin’s services.

In 2025, Kinder Foundation granted DePelchin Children’s Center $1.5 million to support their transition to the state’s new Community Based Care model, with DePelchin serving as lead agency for the Houston region.
