The Kinders were interested in the ambitious vision of former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, to make a positive global impact and supported the construction of the George W. Bush Institute with a $10 million grant. The Institute is an action-oriented organization, focused on results-based solutions for improving the human condition.

The Bush Institute assembled a team of top experts, scholars, business leaders and practitioners to address today’s challenges: improve America’s public schools; foster democracy and support freedom advocates; save lives through global health programs; promote free markets and economic growth; empower women as catalysts of change; and honor the service and sacrifice of our military.

The George W. Bush Presidential Center was dedicated on April 25, 2013.
