In 2012, the foundation provided a transformational gift of $5 million to the Catholic Schools Cooperative, for a pilot group of five PK3 to eighth grade Inner City schools to pool resources for a new model for school and student development in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The foundation’s gift enhances the Cooperatives classroom resources, including instruction and technology, teacher pay, professional development, and improvement of Cooperative facilities, some of which are more than 50 years old.
